Nigel Farage, Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama and Reform Chairman Zia Yusuf yesterday got into a public disagreement over Albanian prisoners in the UK. But the numbers and nationalities aren't what they seem. Drawing on years of direct experience in the Balkans and international security, I explain what's really going on.
Henry, a well put together piece showing when knowledge, understanding and clear thinking can lead to constructive policy.
It rather highlights the obvious, that you ought to be presenting these solutions on behalf of a party that is very likely to win the next election as opposed to the well meaning but entirely irellevant SDP.
Maybe it's too late or too difficult, but a clear waste of a skill set nevertheless.
It's a long way until the next election and reform will really struggle with quality candidates for all electoral positions from hereon in. Walking straight in to a senior position may not be the way forward, but you'll make an impression in any constituency association and unlike all our efforts with UKIP a Reform candidacy, particularly for someone with your background, media presence, skillset and celebrity would very likely lead to electoral success and be welcomed in any local association, of what must be, made up of political novices. Councillor first, MP on the horizon. That would be a win win for everyone. As for me I'm just a bit too old now to stand again (82 in 2029) not because I couldn't but because my age would become a political weapon.

Thank you David. I did offer to do all this sort of stuff for Reform a couple of years ago, but my approaches were rebuffed.

There's always a way.
